Let the adventure begin!

Early rise and shine and off to Nashville for the beginning leg of our Adventure-packed Week! We flew out of Nashville BNA at 8am, headed to Minneapolis St Paul, MN for our connecting flight to Bozeman, MT. The view from the air was spectacular as we were coming into MT!
This appears to be the summit of Big Sky, MT
After landing, we met up with Steve & Patti, who had already had a long day after driving from MS to Birmingham, AL to catch a 6am flight! They had very little, if any, sleep the night before. We got our rental car and started heading to West Yellowstone! Oh the view - I just can't even begin to describe the mountain range! God has created beauty round every bend in the road - it's just breath-taking!
On the way to West Yellowstone, we had all worked up a wild game appetite for the 320 Guest Ranch Restaurant, only to get there and find out they didn't open for another few hours...so much for that! We got back on the road, heading to West Yellowstone, where we stopped and walked the town and checked out a few gift shops. We asked some locals for a good burger joint recommendation and the Gusher Pizza and Sandwich Shoppe proved to be an excellent choice! After dinner we found one of two grocery stores to pick up some food. The prices were crazy expensive, but there really is no other choice. We picked up breakfast foods, lunch foods and snacks for a couple days, then headed to our cabin.
We found Wooded Bliss One without a problem and unpacked and settled in. This cute & comfortable cabin is nestled in an aspen grove and just 8 miles from the park entrance.
Our itinerary plans were to do some exploring of the park after arrival, but since Steve and Patti had very little sleep and such an early flight, we decided to just relax for the evening and enjoy the cabin! That was A-ok with us and it gave us a chance to look at the park map and plan our route for the next day.
